FOMO - Fear Of Missing Out?

I've never understood FOMO.
Fear of Missing Out? IDGI.
Maybe it's because iv'e personally never had much time for social media. I've always been too busy doing my own thing, even if that means doing chores around the house or going out with my friends and family. I'm more of a poster than a reader. When I do read I tend to enjoy the fun things that my friends are doing. I love seeing photos of my friends on vacation, at a concert, or doing something outdoors. I feel included by them sharing that experience with me on social media. I am included in that experience through their photos and stories.

Sometimes I can learn through my friends mistakes. Part of the reason I enjoy so many documentaries and youtube vlogs is that it is a way to walk in another persons shoes. I can learn how they think and feel, then take that information and improve my own life.
I fail to see how I am missing out of anything.
TBH

Passengers

Love this movie so much.  Please go see it before reading further.

I went with a group of people so of course after it was over they all wanted to know if I would wake them up or let them stay asleep.  The movie emphasized a new beginning so wonder if any of the people on the ship were traveling together as a family or a couple.  In a group of strangers, I would be content to live out my life alone...I mean...I'm no mechanic so how would I even open another pod if I wanted to?  My significant other and I agreed that we would try to wake the other up if one of us would have been awakened, and live a life of bliss just the two of us without any other people.  We both hate crowds.  If I was awakened by someone else, I feel like I would react similar to Aurora after she found out, but eventually come around in time and at least talk to the other person.  Hard stretch for any of these scenarios, I have a good life here on Earth so it's doubtful that I would even be on the ship.

What are Your FIRSTS?

1. Who was your FIRST prom date?
My current fiance.  He was my only prom date.  We went to 3 proms together.

2. Do you still talk to your first "love"?
My fiance is my first love.  We started dating in High School.  Don't get me wrong - I had crushes before that, and one other boyfriend before him, but I was not in love, and I knew I was not in love.

3. What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?
Bahama Mama at Applebees - with my parents.  It was seriously my first taste of anything alcoholic ever - I was extremely strict and would not even take a sip of wine if it was offered to me.

4. What was your FIRST job?
It was pretty cool.  I worked at Penney's.  I got to mark down all the clearance items and put up all the sale signs.  I had to go in really early though - 6am!

5. What was your FIRST car?
Nissan Maxima was the first car I drove around.  It was a family car that got passed down to my younger brother as soon as I could afford to buy something myself - A Nissan Sentra - That I still drive today. :)

6. Who was the first person to text you this morning?
My boss texted me this morning about going to Chevy for the Holiday Party to take photos.

7. What is the FIRST thing you thought of this morning?
I regretted staying up late to watch that second episode of House of Cards.

8. Who was your FIRST grade teacher?
Mrs. Westburg - or Westang?  Our mascot was a Dalmatian Puppy.

9. Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane?
I must have gone to Indiana to visit my dad.  My parents divorced when I was 5 or 6.  I was in 2nd or 3rd grade when I went to visit him for the first time.  He was living with his parents - my grandparents.  We played video games, and had fun in the snow.  I remember having a ton of homework that week.

10. Who was your FIRST best , friend & do you still talk talk to them?
My first best friend was Erica, we went to the same Jr High school.  I think we both went to the same Elementary School.  I used to go to her house for sleepovers and we would play barbie (Yes, in 7th grade! lol)  We wrote BFF letters and folded them.  I remember in 6th grade my vision wasn't so great, and I finally got glasses halfway through 7th grade.  Erica thought they were nerdy and said I should have gotten contacts.  She suggested that I not wear them and keep them in my bag.  I liked my glasses because I could SEE when I wore them.  She stopped hanging out with me after that.  We became enemies.  We wrote hate letters to each other.  The next year my family moved and I went to a different Jr High.  I never spoke to Erica again.

11. Where was your FIRST sleepover?
I slept over at my friend Carrie's house when I was in elementary school.  We both went to the same after school day-care.  I remember we watched the Adams Family before we went to bed and I couldn't sleep.  I ended up having to call my mom to come get me in the middle of the night.  My first successful sleepover was in 6th grade - I slept over at my friend Courtney's house for her birthday.  I was worried that I couldn't get to sleep again but we stayed up until dawn watching movies. ;p

12. Who was the FIRST person you talked to today?
I told my fiancee goodbye this morning and gave him a kiss on the cheek when I left for work.

13. Whose wedding were you in FIRST?
I don't even remember this, but I was in my Aunt Lori's wedding.  I was less than a year old and I was the flower girl.

14. What was the FIRST thing you did this morning?
Made coffee and had breakfast - cereal with banana and cashew milk.

15. What was the FIRST concert you ever went to?
First and ONLY concert - Britney Spears Onyx Hotel

16. What was the FIRST tattoo you got?
No tattoos. Ever.

17. First Piercing?
I got my ears pierced when I was in 6th grade, but my mom wouldn't let me wear dangle earrings.  I let them close back up in 8th grade because I got bored of studs.

18. FIRST foreign country you've gone to?
Indonesia!  Last summer - best vacation ever!  Went to Jakarta, Bali, Lombok, and Gili.

19. FIRST movie you remember seeing in the theater?
When I was 5 or 6 years old grandma took me to see The Little Mermaid.  My favorite disney movie!

20. When was your FIRST detention?
In 8th grade.  We had these stamp cards and we had to get them stamped in every class.  I didn't get a stamp in one of my classes - I can't remember why - and I had to stay after school for 8th hour (detention).

21. Did you marry the FIRST person to ask for your hand in marriage?
Not yet.  My fiancee asked me to marry him at Rustlers Rooste after dinner with our close friends.  That was several years ago, and we still are not married yet.

22. What was the FIRST sport that you were involved in?
I played Soccer, Baseball, and Roller Hockey.  Soccer was the very first sport - but I wasn't in it very long.

23. What were the FIRST lessons you ever took?
Gymnastics lessons.  I loved gymnastics!  I should take lessons again.

24. What is the FIRST thing you do when you get home?
Get on Facebook or Youtube.  Drink some Coffee and have dinner in front of the computer.

25. What was your FIRST cell phone?
OMG it was an old Ericson flip phone.  I thought I was so cool getting a flip open phone just like a spy or something.  It only had a small black and white screen and you couldn't save your contacts in the phone back then, you still had to dial them out. There was a button for internet that you would only press by accident.  I remember that the flip part broke off and the thing still worked!  My next phone would be a Nokia brick!

26. Who was your FIRST crush?
I had a huge crush on this kid in 6th grade.  He did gymnastics and he was short like me.  I asked him out and he said yes!  We went out for pizza and he bought me a single rose.  (my parents had to drop me off at the pizza place lol)  We went out for a week and then he broke it off.

27. Who do you think will be the FIRST person to repost?
Nobody reads my blog.

The Election

I'm with her.  Yep, voting for Hillary.  I don't post it on facebook because I think everyone should do their own research and vote for who they think will do the best job as President.  So...I think it's lame when people make facebook posts about how one of the candidates sucks.  I think it's even lamer when it's someone that is in my family.  So when people post untrue or skewed things about Hillary, i'm going to call them out on it.  Mostly trump fans anyways, so I can just apologize for it at Thanksgiving when the election is over and it should be fine.  ;)

As for everyone else posting positive things about Hillary, Trump, Bernie, Jill, or Johnson...that's great!  Lets have more of that please!
